MICRO TEACHING
Microteaching is a technique which is
aimed at preparing teacher trainees for the real classroom setting.
In this teaching technique the lesson delivery time is reduced about 5-8
minutes. The number of observers is also limited to 8-10 students
Microteaching is especially used to
train pre-service teachers systematically. It allows teacher-trainees
to experiment and learn teaching skills like; Set Induction, Questioning, Stimulus Variation, Use of Teaching Aids, Explanation, Chalkboard, etc.
This technique is especially useful
because these essential skills can be learnt without encountering the
chaotic environment of the crowded classes.
